At Companion Pet Clinic of Bend, we make dentistry for your pet affordable and comfortable. Periodontal (gum) disease is one of the most common conditions seen by veterinarians today. Broken teeth, abscessed teeth, oral tumors, gum disease, and many other oral problems also affect our pets. We are equipped and educated to find and treat all forms of dental disease, including these painful conditions that are frequently overlooked.

The procedure of anesthetic dentistry is a simple and comfortable procedure for your pet. When you bring your pet in for their dental appointment, your pet will be examined, blood will be drawn and evaluated to ensure that your pet can safely be placed under anesthesia. As soon as the anesthesia has been administered, the dental cleaning will begin. Your pet's teeth will be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed, and polished. We will then examined the mouth for any abnormalities, teeth that need to be extracted, or other necessary treatments. Any recommended treatment is explained to the owner, along with the costs for that treatment. In most cases, any required treatment can be performed at the same time as the cleaning. Once discharged, if any medicines are necessary, they will be dispensed and detailed instructions will be given. We will be happy to give any further care or prescription instructions.
